‘General Guidelines for Formative Assessment

Formative assessment is prepared by the teacher

Formative assessment tools ae mainly performance tasks Individual discussions are graded, and assignments are recorded and quizzes

{Questions in quizzes should all be non-Free Response Questions (non-FRQs}; these include Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) with only one correct answer, or other types.
‘SwiftAssess and LMS provides many options for non-FRQs, other than MCQs, such as "short Answer”, “Matching”, "Re-Order, "Fillin the Blanks”, etc.

‘The teacher chooses the suitable day and time for implementation during the specified week

“The total number of quizes is 2

‘The duration of a quiz 30 minutes

Every quiz should comprise (10-15) non-FROS
Every quits worth 30 points

Guidelines for Performance Tasks
‘The total number of tasks is 2
‘The teacher can choose from the activities of the student book or the Interactive Student Guide, or can choose something else (s)he finds suitable
Every tasks worth 20 points

Entering the Formative Assessment Grade on Al Manhal
‘The teacher has to keep on record all students’ grades for quizzes and performance tasks
‘The formative assessment grade is entered on Al Manhal out of 100, as the sum ofall formative assessment components (quizzes and performance tasks) out of 20
