In the summer, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, and it receives more sunlight. In the winter, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted away from the Sun, and it receives less sunlight. The opposite is true for the Southern Hemisphere. The Earth's rotation and revolution are essential for life on Earth. The rotation provides a day-night cycle, which is important for plant and animal life. The revolution provides seasons, which are important for agriculture and other human activities. Without the Earth's rotation, we would have one long day and one long night. This would be very harsh for life on Earth. Plants would not be able to photosynthesize, and animals would not be able to see to hunt or find food. Without the Earth's revolution, we would have no seasons.
