Their: Used to show ownership by a group of people, not including the speaker. For example, "They brought their own food." Students learn that possessive adjectives are placed before the noun they modify. They agree in number and gender with the noun they are referring to. For example, "My book" (singular) versus "Our books" (plural). In grade 12, students also learn how to use possessive adjectives to indicate possession in sentences. They practice constructing sentences using possessive adjectives correctly, such as "This is my sister's car" or "Their house is beautiful." By understanding and correctly using possessive adjectives, grade 12 students enhance their writing and communication skills.
